It started with a goalie course

Learnt's founder built a training platform to teach youth hockey coaches how to develop goalies. Most coaches behind the bench have never played the position — they watch a goal go in and don't know what to say. So he built a course for that exact moment: what to look for, what to say, how to help a goalie get better without turning practice into a goaltending clinic.

Then a few hockey associations asked if they could run the same course under their own name. Their logo, their colors, their platform — their coaches would never know it wasn't built in-house.

That request is the whole reason Learnt exists.

We didn't build a new product to answer it. We turned the platform that already existed into one: write a course once, license it to as many organizations as you want, and each one gets a fully branded portal — logo, color, name, even their own domain. One course, maintained in one place, with zero copies to keep in sync.

That first goalie training business still runs on Learnt today — same platform, same infrastructure you'd be using. We're our own first customer, which means when something breaks, it breaks for us first.

What we believe

E-learning costs too much

Per-learner pricing punishes you for growing. A flat $99/month means landing a new client adds revenue, not costs.

Your brand, not ours

You did the work of becoming the expert. Your clients should see your name on the platform — white-label is the default here, not an upsell.

Simple enough to run alone

No IT department required. If you can write a document, you can build and deliver your course — and a real person answers the email when you're stuck.

Who's behind it

Learnt is built and run by Michael Orlando — the same person who built the goalie course, answers hello@learnt.tech, and ships the product. Still early. Still building in public.
