Everything that has changed in Learnt, newest first, written by Mike Orlando. Each line is live when it's posted.
A week's notice before a locked workspace is deleted
If your subscription ends or your trial ends unpaid, your workspace is kept for 90 days. Now you also get an email a week before it's deleted, saying exactly what will go and linking to Download course, so you can take your course with you. Subscribe again before the date and nothing is deleted.
Answers for your customers' procurement teams, and Download course
A new page, Security and procurement, answers what a company's procurement or IT team asks before buying training delivered on Learnt: who runs Learnt, support within 1 business day, where data is stored and who processes it, security, the DPA, what happens to your data when you leave, and every limit. Download course in the Course Editor gives you your whole course as one markdown file, even after your trial ends or you cancel. It's also in the API and the MCP connector. And if you cancel, your workspace now stays for 90 days before it's deleted.
Learners can ask you a question from any module
Every module page now has a "Have a question about this module?" box. The question is emailed to your support address (or the email you sign in with), naming the learner, their company and the module, and Reply goes straight to them. The new Questions page in the Course Editor lists every question with a count per module, so you can see which parts of your course need work, and you can mark each one answered. Questions are on for every workspace and can be switched off. They are also in the API and the MCP connector.
Learners get reminded for you
Learnt now reminds your learners in your name: once, 7 days after their invitation, if they haven't opened your course, and once if they stop partway through. Each reminder signs them straight back in and has a link to stop them. The Learners page shows who was reminded and when the next one is due, and "Remind now" sends one straight away. Reminders are on for every workspace, and you can switch them off in the Course Editor. They are also in the API and the MCP connector.
A founding price, and every line on this site checked
The first 50 customers keep $99 a month per workspace for 5 years while they stay subscribed. Everyone else gets 60 days' notice of any price change. Client organizations are now truly unlimited: the old ceiling of 1,000 per workspace is gone. We also checked every claim on learnt.tech against the product and rewrote the ones that overstated it, and the homepage now says how to set up and run your training from your AI agent.
More ways to make learner pages yours
Branding now has four more settings for how your learners' pages look: a header in your brand color, a soft tint of your color or your own picture behind the page, a cover picture behind your course title, and four font styles (Modern, Classic, Friendly and Plain). A preview shows a learner page as you choose. Leave them alone and nothing changes. You can also set them through the API, and all but the pictures through the MCP connector.
Imported drafts look like the real lesson
When you import a PDF, each draft module now shows its lists, headings and spacing the way your learners will see them. Before, bullets could sit on the edge of the preview box. The homepage also shows more of two example workspaces: the course page, a lesson with a picture, the certificate and the invitation email.
Learnt links show a preview
Paste a learnt.tech link into LinkedIn, Slack or an email and it now shows a Learnt preview card instead of a blank box. The homepage lives at learnt.tech itself, and www.learnt.tech and old /splash links take you there.
Learnt fits your phone
The Course Editor, Learners and Progress pages now fit a phone screen. Each module's buttons sit under its title, the Learners report shows one card per learner with Resend and Remove, and fields no longer make an iPhone zoom in when you tap them. The docs pages read at full size on a phone too.
Connect Claude and other AI apps to your workspace
Learnt now has an MCP server at learnt.tech/mcp. Add it as a connector with an API key and ask in plain words, for example "who at Ridgeline hasn't finished?". A read-only key can only read. Setup for each app is in Connect an AI app.
A Learnt skill for AI agents
Install the Learnt skill in Claude Code or another agent that supports skills, and it knows how to build your course from markdown, brand your workspace, invite learners and report progress through the API. It asks you before it sends any invitations.
An API for your own tools and AI agents
Create an API key in the Course Editor under Developer access, and an agent such as Claude Code can build your course from markdown, set your branding, add client organizations, invite learners and read progress. It follows the same rules as the Course Editor. See learnt.tech/docs/api.
Safer sign-in links
Sign-in links in invitation emails are now signed, so a link only ever opens the account it was sent to. Older links take you to the sign-in page, where you enter your email to get a fresh one.
A clearer learnt.tech
The site now shows two example workspaces, a short recording of a PDF becoming a course, and this page.
PDF import: a draft you check before learners see it
Imported modules show as they will look, marked "Draft from your PDF" until you save or mark them reviewed. Revise tells you when it can't make a change, and short bullet modules can be expanded into paragraphs using only what's in your PDF.
A cleaner Course Editor and a Learners page
A lighter look across the editor, with your logo in the header and a separate page for learners and invitations.
