Quick start
Four steps take you from an empty workspace to a link you can send your first customer.
Before you start
You need:
- an email address you can read (signup sends an 8-digit code);
- your business name;
- your course content: typed text, a PDF, or both.
No credit card is needed for the 14-day trial.
1. Sign up
- Go to app.learnt.tech/signup.
- Enter your email, your business name and your training site's web address. The address is filled in from your business name; change it if you like. It must be 3–63 lowercase letters, numbers or hyphens.
- Enter the 8-digit code from the confirmation email (or use the email's button).
- On the secure Stripe page, start the 14-day trial. No card is needed until the trial ends.
You land in the Course Editor. For a few seconds it may say "Setting up your workspace…"; it opens by itself when ready.
2. Add your first module
In the Course Editor, under Modules:
- + Add module to write or paste a module, or
- Import from PDF to have Learnt split a PDF into modules, keeping its pictures and tables. You review every module before saving.
Press Save on each module. Details: Course content.
3. Brand it
Under Branding, upload your logo and set your brand color and platform name. Learners see them on every page and email. Details: Branding and domains.
4. Invite learners and share your link
- Open Learners & client organizations.
- Add a client organization (the company or association you sold to).
- Add its learners one at a time, or upload a roster file (name, email, organization).
Each learner gets an invitation with your organization's name as the sender and a one-click sign-in link. The banner at the top of the Course Editor shows your learners' sign-in address, with a Copy link button, so you can also send it yourself.
Tip: invite yourself first, with a second email address, to see exactly what your clients will receive.
Before learners arrive
- Switch the course from Draft to Published in Course Settings. Draft courses are visible only to you.
- Optionally connect your own domain, e.g. training.yourcompany.com. It's included in the trial: see connecting your own domain.
The "Get started" checklist
Until all four steps are done, the Course Editor shows a checklist that ticks itself from what you've actually done: a module exists, a logo or brand color is set, a learner is invited, and a learner has signed in.
